We are excited to introduce the newest Dogpatch Labs class in Cambridge. It includes entrepreneurs and companies that have recently joined or will soon join this newly-expanded Lab. A few additional stealth companies in this class will be announced shortly as well!

These companies span multiple sectors, and the diversity and personalities in this group of entrepreneurs will add greatly to the collaborative culture at Dogpatch!

Congratulations to Dogpatch Labs Cambridge resident Localytics on its recent announcement of $700,000 in seed funding. Here is the coverage in TechCrunch. We are very excited for the team!

Launchpad Venture Group and New York Angels led the round. “We worked closely with a number of top app publishers for the past year and chose to self-fund the company until we could validate our business model and generate real revenue,” said Raj Aggarwal, CEO of Localytics: “With our customer base expanding rapidly and end-user reach growing 50% per month, we’re excited to partner with a strong group of investors who will help fuel our growth.”

With the expansion of Dogpatch Labs Cambridge, we will have many desks opening on a rolling basis over the next few months. We’re looking for great teams of 1 to 4 people to join us for up to 6 months of sponsored (“free”) occupancy. Students also welcome to apply. We are looking for entrepreneurs in consumer Internet, Internet infrastructure, on-demand software, cloud computing, life sciences, enertech, and related fields.

Our friends at AssuredLabor, a co-located Dogpatch Labs Cambridge and Dogpatch Labs NY resident, announced today they have raised $1 million in seed funding. We’re very excited for the team!

Co-founder and CEO David Reich discussed the investor group in this Xconomy article: “Michael van Swaaij was the CEO of Skype and the Chief Strategy Officer at eBay during a period of tremendous growth. Nexus Venture Partners is one of the top venture funds operating in India and will be instrumental when we move in that direction. Also, Fabrice Grinda has built one of the largest marketplaces in the world with OLX.com and Jose Marin was one of the founders of DeRemate (a digital marketplace in Latin America which was sold to MercadoLibre).”

Dogpatch Labs Cambridge Student Night 4/15

On Thursday, April 15, at 6:30pm, Dogpatch Labs Cambridge will hold its first Student and Intern Night to: 1) present opportunities for student internships at some exciting local start-ups, and 2) allow student entrepreneurs across Boston campuses to both meet each other and see a potential space at which to work on their start-ups this summer. Many resident companies at Dogpatch Labs Cambridge are looking for summer interns of all disciplines, so we’d like to invite undergraduate and graduate students in the Boston area to come and explore the opportunities at the following Dogpatch companies:

Sean led marketing through NASDAQ IPO filings of LogMeIn and Uproar and later helped bring Xobni to market.
