This June, First Fridays for Startups will connect startups from across the world for a digital discussion on how we can learn from some of the busiest startups on how to thrive in this new global market.

Get 1-on-1 advice or feedback from a variety of curated mentors from investors to founders and more. Apply for 25-minute slots on a number of topics including Funding, Bootstrapping, Marketing Strategy and the COVID Wage Subsidy Scheme.

Lightning Talks | 12.30 - 13.30

3 of Ireland’s top social enterprises sharing how the pandemic market is affecting their startups, through the lens of their unique journey through the social innovation landscape. We’ve got Foodcloud on scaling tech as a nonprofit, Change Donation’s co-founder on supporting charities as a For-Profit, plus Strategic Director at Coderdojo brings us through their journey on scaling globally & financial sustainability. Each talk will be followed by a short Q&A.

Keynote | 13.45 - 14.45

Join Paul O’Hara (CEO & Founder of ChangeX) as he sheds light on lessons learned on his journey of creating & scaling global community of 15,000+ social innovators, sharing insights on building an authentic brand and targeted marketing campaigns. He’ll also discuss the role of venture philanthropy in supporting social enterprises, speaking to Web Summit’s €1M donation, plus pandemic-related pivots ChangeX have made to rapidly address shifting conditions for their community.

Sandbox Session (Networking) | 10.30 - 12.00

90-minute networking session where folks can bring things they are struggling with, questions, or anything coming at you from the “new normal” you just aren’t quite sure how to handle. The group focus will be to work collectively and in small groups to share experiences and find common solutions to problems we might be similarly facing.
